Vehicle description:the thing most people did after first seeing the bmw k1200r naked bike and hearing it had 163 hp was to either start giggling hysterically or figure out what they had back in their garage to sell for making room for the bike. First media test rides were often completed at race tracks and without exception, everyone was shocked that a 520 pound motorcycle could get around so quickly with such competence. The duolever front suspension featured built in anti-dive properties and completely removed front end stiction in one fell swoop which allowed surprising corner entry speeds and unusual great high speed stability. It was never intended to beat up current sportbikes, but it would surprise many when seen approaching in their mirrors. The k1200r was optioned with what makes bmw’s a bike above the rest. Their esa adjustable suspension was state of the art in 2006 and allowed not only the shock dampening to be adjusted on the fly, but the preload of the shock spring to be changed when the bike was parked and in neutral. The owner of this bike also installed a set of bar backs and larger windscreen which allowed a more up right sitting position with added wind deflection. Miles on this 2006 bmw k1200r are 23,970. As a huge fan of the Twin Cam Engine, I can personal vouch for the added bottom end torque these motors have over the earlier bikes. The bike comes equipped with the regular GS BMW accessories, FI, ABS brakes, ESA Suspension on the Fly Tuning, Heated Grips, Hard Sided Aluminum Cases (not advised for use when lane splitting...) and the Adventure 8.7 Gallon Gas Tank, Crash Bars and Winglets that run alongside the windscreen

Vehicle description:the first thing that needs to be addressed for this 1999 bmw k1200rs is the concept of booking a vehicle. Also, banks, not being experts or having the time to become one, use them as a method of establishing a conservative value so they can do the business of loaning money on items they usually never see. Book value is a guide. It a bike has a book of $4000 and has 78,000 miles and is worn out, the guide does not reflect this. If a bike has 8,515 miles and has had the most anal over the top service possible and then some, it does not reflect this. This is a one owner, uncrated by himself at hansen’s bmw when it was new, fluids changed every year regardless of use, tires and batteries changed when date codes deemed correct, never dropped, never abused, never left out in weather, 1999 bmw k1200rs. I have not even begun to talk about what a great bike it was and is! Originally a 1000cc design, it grew to 1100cc’s and finally to 1200cc’s. This motor, if fluids are kept in it will not wear out. Just does not happen. The rest of drive train was almost as stout with stories of 150,000 mile bikes still running around. Cosmetically the bike could have ridden off of the showroom floor at hansen’s this afternoon. Not a blemish anywhere. It came equipped with hard bags and a soft bmw tail bag was added. Heated grips were not available when the bike was new, but the owner ordered them and they are still in the box ready to be installed. A recent service had all of the brake lines replaced and the brake system flushed. It was designed to eat up the miles in sporting comfort with control only a well engineered motorcycle can give. Over the years i have had two of these bikes and have about 25,000 miles on them. It has always been one of my favorite rides. The next owner is going to experience something few motorcycles can offer. Miles on this 1999 bmw k1200rs are 8,515. The vin# is wb10554a0xza52171. Better to ask before then after. BMW has a way of making the sticker price ($xxxx) look real low but by the time the standard Factory accessories that come with each and every bike sold are added in, the Accessory Socket ($50), Heated handlebar grips ($250), destination charge of $495 and then $250 DMV, the bike cost $xxxx out the door. The warranty on the bike is 36,000 mis or until April of xxxx. The bike is for all intents and purposes as new but now a little better as the factory Metzelers were taken off and a new set of Heidenau tires installed when the bike was delivered
